1 Bottle of fragrance and dye free dish soap (mine is Nature's Promise, Giant's all natural brand)
15 Drops of Lime Essential Oil
10 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
Mix and enjoy!
One of the things I was super excited about when I started using Essential Oils was to start getting chemicals out of my cleaning regiment. It has been a slow process because I am not one to throw out a half full bottle of cleaner. So as my products run out I find ways to replace them with oily goodness!
So this week I ran out of dish soap and I knew there had to be a wonderful way to replace it! I did a little digging and found I could put almost anything in my soap to make it more powerful! And really, I could have even made my own soap- but that was too much work for me at this stage in the game. I opted for a fragrance and dye free natural dish soap.
I decided on lime, because any of the citrus oils would be a fantastic cleaner, why not let the oil do the cleaning work and not me!? And peppermint is an invigorating scent, and who doesn't need to be invigorated while doing dishes... right!? And added bonus- it smells like a mojito in my sink now! Yay!
I am sure you will be doing lots of dishes with the coming holidays, why not try this out!? Let me know what oils you would put in your dish soap!
